Canadian Mental Health Association Saint John Branch is a nation-wide, voluntary organization that exists to promote the mental health of all people and to support the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness. Canadian Mental Health Association is the strongest advocate for mental health and those suffering from mental illness.
Canadian Mental Health Association Saint John Branch accomplishes its mission through education, advocacy and collaboration. Our branch strives in making the best use of our available resources. This is accomplished by increasing community partners and continuing to focus on evidence-based outcomes and performance objectives.
Canadian Mental Health Association Saint John Branch has been providing a variety of programs and services for 49 years within the greater Saint John area, from Grand Bay-Westfield to Hampton.
Mental illness knows no barriers; it affects all age groups, education/income levels and people from various cultural backgrounds. Mental illness affects everyone around us. Statistics show that one in five members of our community will experience some form of mental illness sometime during their lives. Given this figure, the demand for social and community-based services will increase dramatically in response to an anticipated growth of the greater Saint John area.
Our goal is to form stronger partnerships within the greater Saint John area to help educate business, schools, youth and the community at large.
