Hemmings House Pictures is an award-winning film and television production company based out of Saint John, New Brunswick and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Hemmings House combines the creative passions of a group of film-makers and photographers with the energetic entrepreneurial spirit of a quickly growing, innovative company that sells imagination.
Be it commercial / corporate, television, new media (web/mobile etc), documentary, or music; Hemmings House Pictures Strives to deliver a product in the spirit of an artist finishing a painting. Pride and inspiration is what we as a company strive for in our productions. We feel that a production is not complete until the client shares the same satisfaction and inspiration.
Founding film maker Greg Hemmings has developed a culture of creativity, integrity, respect, and adventure within the company that has been adopted by the whole team and is very present with the relationship-based client experience.

After graduating with a Broadcasting degree from Niagara College in 1999, Greg Hemmings was an IATSE camera assistant on various CBC shorts, television series, and several features - including In Her Defense and Disney's Color of Friendship. He began shooting and editing documentaries while working in the Caribbean, sailing throughout the islands, South America, Mexico, Bermuda and beyond on tall ships and cruise ships.
Before forming Hemmings House Pictures in 2007, Greg co-founded HIT! Media with Glenn Ingersoll and Andrew Tidby. He spent 3 years with the company, developing his skills in music videos, commercials, and corporate projects.
Greg's documentary work has taken him world-wide through Beijing, Indonesia, Italy, France, Switzerland, Portugal, England, Venezuela and the Arctic; just to name a few. Greg has produced and directed projects like Revolve, A Head's Tale, Songs of Solidarity, East Coast Breakdown, Chasing The Sun, Rubarbicon (IFC), Psalm 67, Grave Concerns (CBC) and Wrestling Reality (The Fight Network) - again, just to name a few. Greg also teamed up with Andrew Tidby of Tidby Pictures along with Dreamstreet Pictures to produce CTV Travel+Escape's Planet Luxury.
Greg has been recognized with industry awards including "Best Sound Design" for Rubarbicon at the Atlantic Film Festival, "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" award for the Saint John Board of Trade, and "Best Documentary" at the Silver Wave Film Festival for Rubarbicon, a Extremey Award for "Best Instructional Video" for Marty Smith Motocross Clinic in Los Angeles; to name a few.
